Swiss painter and draughtsman

Franz Knebel II, related to Franz Knebel I (1789-1822) and F. Kaisermann (1765-1833), mainly made watercolour paintings. From 1829 he worked in Rome. In April 1835 he exhibited in his studio at the Piazza di Spagna 31 drawings by B. Pinelli (1781-1835) and F. Kaisermann. His own works of art he exhibited in Milan (1844), Brussels (1851) and Rome (1877).
