Jesus Christ and the Twelve Apostles.

12 (of 14) copper engravings, on handmade paper with watermark: Jug. Each ca. 19,8:9 cm.

Nearly complete series, all perfect impressions. With tiny margins around the platemark, some trimmed close to, some trimmed over the platemark. A few signs of age and traces of use, margins partly a little bit damaged, paper a tiny bit stained, but throughout in a good condition.

Literature: Hollstein 9, II (of III), 10, I (of II), 11, II (of III), 12, II, 13-18, 19, II (of III), 20, II (of III). – Hollstein 9, 10 before numbers, Hollstein 11, 19, 20 before change of numbers. The state of Hollstein 13 couldn't be made out due to restorations at lower right corner.

Provenance: All prints are doublets from the Hamburger Kunsthalle, Lugt 1328.
